GS Professors All Geared Up for Research
The Graduate School opens SY 2011-2012 with professors gearing toward conducting research. With Dr. Noreen E. Pontillas of CUREXO-IDS leading the group, the professors attended the seminar on Problem Conceptualization last July 9, 2011 with Prof. Noel Alegre as the resource person and facilitator. This is just one part of a series of seminars that will be conducted under the Graduate School Research Training Program. This training program is a refresher program given the high level of research skills among the Graduate School Faculty. Hence, the program serves as a road map for the faculty to conduct their researches within one school year, ensuring that quality outputs are produced. With the multidisciplinary nature of the Graduate School, this program provides a venue for the faculty to do interdisciplinary and collaborative research projects. GS Dean is the New President of CDGS
For the second time since the creation of the Council of Deans of Graduate Schools Region 10 in 2003, Dr. Francis Thaise A. Cimene, Dean of the Graduate School, was elected as the new President of the Council for school year 2011-2012. The election took place during the Council’s Organizational Meeting held last July 15, 2011 at Xavier University Board Room, Cagayan de Oro City.
